At MotoMachina our Passion is derived from Driving. Our stories are told from the scars that we acquire on sheet metal and the Rubber we leave on the road.

The Best Porsche 911 Chase scene out of the 80s from the movie “No Man’s Land”. Charlie Sheen even gives a 911 Cabrio a pat on the top before cutting her top open trying to steal her before the awesome chase!

ASC’s 1970 Pontiac Firebird  ’Dark Energy’

ASC is responsible for this progressive build along with a few other famous pro-touring builds including Pro Skateboarder Josh Kalis DC Shoes 1969 Camaro. While Pro-touring builds seem to be more of a “who has more money” contest commonly, we dig this build. It keeps just enough enough of the Firebirds original character and brings it into this era with modern components throughout. The definition of pro-touring. The 1,020 hp at 5,900 rpm at 12.5 psi helps our opinion of it as well. Seeing muscle cars with LSX powerplants is so commonplace its almost the defacto these days for guys building a muscle car. We dig the fact that all this horsepower is drawn from an original 455 Pontiac Block.

    Specs on the build:

    Engine Type: Pontiac 455

Block: Butler aluminum block bored to 4.250 inches

Oiling: Melling oil pump, Canton seven-quart pan

Rotating assembly: Eagle forged 4.000-inch crank and rods; custom Ross 8.5:1 pistons

Cylinder heads: Kauffman aluminum castings with 2.200/1.700-inch valves and 64cc chambers CNC ported to flow 380 cfm

Camshaft: COMP Cams custom hydraulic roller

Valvetrain: COMP Cams valvesprings, lifters, retainers, and timing set

Induction: custom billet Visner intake manifold, dual 4-inch throttle-bodies, twin 66mm Bullseye turbochargers, custom air-to-air intercooler, Tial 44mm wastegates and blow-off valves

Fuel system: Rick’s Hot Rod Shop tank; Aeromotive Eliminator pump and regulator; FAST XFI stand-alone computer and twin injectors per cylinder

Ignition: MSD 6AL box, Mallory distributor

Exhaust: custom stainless steel turbo headers, X-pipe, and dual 3-inch MagnaFlow mufflers

Output: 1,020 hp at 5,900 rpm at 12.5 psi

    Built by: All Speed Customs

Transmission: Rockland T56 Magnum six-speed trans, Ram twin-disc clutch, Kiesler shifter

Rear axle: Moser 12-bolt rearend, 3.55:1 gears, Detroit TrueTrac limited-slip differential

Front suspension: Detroit Speed and Engineering upper/lower control arms and sway bar; QA1 coilovers; Classic Performance Products 2-inch drop spindles

Rear suspension: DSE four-link, sway bar, and coilovers

Brakes: Wilwood 14-inch discs with six-piston calipers, front; Wilwood 13-inch discs with four-piston calipers, rear

    Wheels & Tires

Wheels: Forgiano Ritorno 19x10, front; 20x12.5, rear

    Tires: Nitto NT05 275/30R19, front; 315/35R20, rear
